Hello Apple Users Group Members
Apple iPad YouTube tutorial (Pretty Good)
Learning how to use the iBook App
Here's a link to a YouTube video on how to use the iBook app on iPad. You can learn all the little tricks, and it shows you the difference between reading an ebook on iBooks and reading one on Kindle.

When you go to the above page, you'll see a lot of other YouTube videos such as instructions on how to turn PDF files to iBooks, and how to find free books to download to iBooks. Some of them are very useful.
Important Note: There are some people who learned how to do something called "jailbreaking" their iPad or iPhone which allows them to download e.g. Adobe Flash which iPad is configured not to allow you to do so. I don't know why, but I figure it must be a good reason since Apple products never get any viruses on their computers or other products to date. If you should see anything with instructions on "jailbreaking" your Apple products, I personally would not attempt to do this. What jailbreaking means is changing the iPad configurations to be able to download apps and files that Apple does not recommend doing and will not allow you to do so at the present time. I don't know the real reason why, but I've heard that it's some kind of feud that went on between Steve Jobs & Microsoft, Adobe and Apple. I don't know if that's true or not either.
This may sound unfair, and I agree. After all you paid for your iPad and you should be able to do whatever you want with it. The problem is, not that you can't. It's not illegal to do so. You can "jailbreak" your iPad or iPhone if you ever wanted to, but you will then void your guarantee from Apple if you tamper with any of the configurations. I love the way iPad works and I personally would never want to mess with that.
Hope to see you at the next meeting,
Sandra
