Meeting Date Changed

Because of the Thanksgiving holiday we are moving our meeting date out one week to Friday, November 30. Please mark your calender with this change.

This Weeks Meeting

Our meeting Friday, 10-26, will be held as usual at 3:00PM in the Orchid Club. However, both Richard and I will be traveling and will not be able to attend. This means you will not have internet service and one of our most capable teachers (Richard, not me!). Help each other out as best you can. We will both be back next month. Have fun, and learn.

May 25th Meeting

For next Friday's meeting Sandra Benigno will be conducting another Question and Answer session. Unfortunately we will not have internet access available again until the June meeting.

In a couple of days I'll be announcing a great opportunity for all AUG members. Stay tuned.

I'm still working out of town so I'd like to ask a few of our members to come in about 20 minutes early and help set up the chairs for Sandra. Have fun everyone.

I enjoyed the meeting

Enjoyed the last meeting and hope to be joining you often. It will be great when WiFi is enabled and hopefully I can get answers to some of my questions. I am currently the Secretary of the Ocala Mac Users Group (OMUG) and will be happy to have a shorter trip to meetings.

April 27 Meeting

For this Friday's meeting our very own Sandra Benigno will be conducting a Question and Answer session. Sandra has been working with electronic technology for a couple of decades and really enjoys helping others with their Apple products.

I'll be out of town for this meeting so I'd like to ask a few of our members to come in about 20 minutes early and help set up the chairs for Sandra. Have fun everyone.

Computer Club Meeting

I hope many of you had a chance to see Gary Anderson and Bob Adams from the Ocala Palms Computer & Technology Club during their iPad demonstration at this morning's ORCC meeting. Bob did a really great job of explaining the differences between the three versions of iPads and how to maneuver around the operating system and applications.

Our First Meeting

I think everyone was excited to get the Apple Users Group started. We had a great first session. The Group agreed to maintain an informal approach to meetings.

Bob Petrone seems to be our go-to guy. He's very enthusiastic about all things Apple and really knows his stuff.  If you need help, email him at zwezi@me.com. Also able to help with problems or deciding between PC and Apple is Michael Kinney. You can contact him at mkinney5@twcny.rr.com.

The Group will continue to meet on the 4th Friday of each month in the Orchid Club Auditorium at 3:00PM. During next month's meeting, Mar 23, we may try to tackle some issues that require being online.

If anyone needs help with this blog or has any other questions please call me at 897-0297.

Inaugural Meeting

The first meeting of the Group will be Friday, Feb. 24, at 3:00PM in the Orchid Club. We will discuss how we want to organize and what we hope to achieve, among other things. We need everyone to attend this meeting. If we have a poor showing, we'll go nowhere fast. Be sure to wear your Oak Run name tag so we can get to know each other by name. See you there.
