Computer Club June Meeting

On Wednesday, June 19th, at 9:00AM our very own Apple Users Group guru, Richard Bambridge, will be the guest speaker at the Oak Run Computer Club's June meeting.

Richard will discuss "All Things Apple", iPads, iPhones, iTunes, Macs, etc. Generous time will be devoted to answering questions about Apple products. Mark your calender.

AUG Is Now Part Of The Computer Club

As was announced at last month's AUG meeting, the Apple Users Group is now part of the Oak Run Computer Club. Anyone in Oak Run is still welcome to join us at our monthly (4th Friday) class just like any other class sponsored by the ORHA Web Team. Starting in August, Computer Club members can attend for free while all others will pay $2 per class.

The merger of these two groups was a natural since most Apple users also have PC's and many members were already ORCC members too. Plus, many presentations at the Computer Club are useful to Apple users. As an example, the Sept 19 meeting will have a County Library representative talking about their e-book collection. Then, on Oct 17, a Verizon rep will give a smartphone presentation which will include the iPhone among others.

Remember, all registered AUG members can join the Computer Club for FREE in 2012. All you need to do is see me for an application. You can also download and print an application from the Computer Club blog (left sidebar) or get it directly HERE. Then bring your completed application to the next ORCC meeting. Membership will allow you to participate in the meeting giveaways which include $25 gift cards and Kindle e-readers among other things.

A Reminder About Free Membership

The Oak Run Computer Club has offered all Apple Users Group members a free membership in the Computer Club for the remainder of 2012. If you are not already a member of the Computer Club this will give you an opportunity to join them at their informative meetings and take part in their giveaways.

If you filled out an ORCC application at the last AUG meeting bring it to the next ORCC meeting (tomorrow, June 20) and give it to me at the welcome table. I'll see that your application gets approved and your name badge is made in time for the following meeting. If you need an application just ask for one.

Good News For AUG Members

The Oak Run Computer Club has offered all Apple Users Group members a free membership in the Computer Club for the remainder of 2012. If you are not already a member of the Computer Club this will give you an opportunity to join them at their informative meetings and take part in their giveaways.

iPad Presentation

The Computer Club will have a presentation on iPads at their regular monthly meeting, Wednesday, April 18 at 9:00AM in the Orchid Club. 

Gary Anderson, President of Ocala Palm's Computer Club, will give the presentation. I don't have any details of the content or depth of his presentation, but, visitors are always welcome at the Computer Club regular meetings in hopes that they will join the club.

There are door prizes for members and a 50/50 for everyone.
